DishInk keeps running through network outages, but persistent connectivity issues degrade the experience. This page walks through diagnosing and fixing them.

Overview

DishInk’s three-tier resilience:
  1. Cloud — normal operation.
  2. LAN — if internet drops, devices talk over the local WiFi.
  3. Local Storage — if LAN drops, orders save on-device and sync when reconnected.
Service never stops — but sluggish or intermittent networks still cause bad customer experience.

Network troubleshooting

DishInk indicates connectivity mode in the status bar: Cloud, LAN, or Local. During Local mode, orders queue for sync.

Tips & best practices

Use a business-grade dual-band router with QoS enabled. Consumer-grade routers fail under 30+ concurrent devices.

Common mistakes

Do not put POS terminals on guest WiFi. Signal contention causes stuttering and dropped orders.
