Every DishInk shift begins with a clock in and ends with a clock out. Clock-in captures the opening cash float; clock-out generates a shift report and reconciles the cash drawer.

Overview

  • Clock-in starts payroll time tracking and records the opening float.
  • Clock-out closes the shift, generates a shift report, and prompts cash reconciliation.
  • Every action on the terminal between clock-in and clock-out is linked to the staff member.

Managers can require a supervisor PIN before clock-out is finalised when variances exceed a configurable threshold.

Tips & best practices

Count the drawer twice at both clock-in and clock-out. A two-person count during handovers eliminates most disputes.
