# Delivery & Pickup

> Configure zones, fees, pickup windows, and rider assignment for online orders.

Configure delivery zones, pickup windows, minimum orders, and rider assignment for every online order source.

## Overview

Delivery config:

* Delivery zones (radius or drawn on a map)
* Delivery fees per zone
* Minimum order per zone
* Rider assignment (in-house or third-party)
* ETA calculation (kitchen load + travel time)

Pickup config:

* Pickup windows (e.g. every 15 min)
* Curb-side pickup instructions
* Advance-order support

  Riders can be added as staff members with the Rider role. Their location can be shared to customers via a tracking link.

  Start with two zones (near/far). Fine-grained zones create edge cases; two are usually enough.

## Common mistakes

<Warning>
  Do not set minimum order too low. Delivery breaks even only above a certain basket size — calculate before publishing.
