# Receipt Printing

> Print ZRA-compliant receipts on paper, email, WhatsApp, and SMS.

Every sale generates a receipt. DishInk prints ZRA-compliant receipts with QR codes, and supports paper, email, WhatsApp, and SMS delivery.

## Overview

Receipt content:

* Business name, address, ZRA taxpayer identification
* Order number and timestamp
* Line items with modifiers
* Subtotal, discounts, tax, service charge, total
* Payment breakdown
* ZRA Smart Invoice QR code (where applicable)

## Configure receipt printing

<Note>
  Digital receipts (email, WhatsApp) are ZRA-compliant — the QR code and invoice reference travel with them.
</Note>

  Offer digital by default, paper on request. Saves paper cost and keeps the environment happy.

## Common mistakes

<Warning>
  Do not omit the ZRA QR code from receipts in VAT-registered mode. This is a Smart Invoice compliance requirement.
