# Logging In

> How staff and administrators log in to DishInk across web, tablet, and POS terminal devices.

DishInk supports two authentication methods: full email + password login for managers and administrators, and short PIN login for cashiers, waiters, and kitchen staff on shared terminals.

## Overview

* **Email + password** — for owners, administrators, and general managers on the dashboard.
* **PIN login** — for cashiers, waiters, and kitchen staff on shared POS terminals, tablets, and KDS screens.
* **SSO (enterprise)** — Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 single sign-on for larger deployments.

## Log in with PIN

<Note>
  PIN login is tied to the current shift. When you clock out, your session ends automatically.
</Note>

## Two-factor authentication

Administrators and owners can enable 2FA under **Settings → Security**. Once enabled, an authenticator-app code is required after email + password.
